India is on their tour to New Zealand that is turning out to be a nightmare where they have lost ODI series by 3-0 followed by a defeat in the first game of the two-match Test series. There is no doubt over the fact that the Men in Blue are missing the services of Hardik Pandya, who is regarded as one of the all-rounders in the country. Earlier, it was expected that Pandya will be available for the Kiwi tour and he was even picked in the squad of India A for the unofficial Test and One-Day games.

Later on, he was ruled out from the team as he was not 100 per cent match fit to play any competitive cricket game. He was sent back to train hard under the supervision of NCA. It is quite evident that the team management is no mood to take his fitness lightly as he will be one of the most important players for Team India during the T20 World Cup that is scheduled to be held in Australia starting in October.

Moreover, the Indian Premier League is all set to begin in a month’s span in which the prolific all-rounder is expected to take part. There are several speculations that Pandya will certainly pave his way back into the cricket in the cash-rich league where he will be spotted donning the glittery jersey of four times IPL champions Mumbai Indians.

However, now there is good news for the Pandya fans that he will be making his comeback into the game from a local T20 tournament. A source said that his name is there in the team list of Reliance 1. At the moment he is undergoing through rehabilitation at National Cricket Academy, who are expected to release him soon.

“Yes, his name is there in the team list for Reliance. He will play in the DY Patil T20, provided the National Academy (NCA, in Bengaluru, where he’s currently recuperating from his injury) releases him,” a source said as quoted by Times of India.
