Pakistan players are in line to receive a massive bonus if they defeat arch-rivals India in their T20 World Cup 2021 clash on October 24 in Dubai. Notably, India leads the head-to-head 12-0 currently, having defeated their Asian rivals five times in the T20 World Cups previously apart from seven times in ODI World Cups.

Meanwhile, recent reports suggest that if Babar Azam’s men manage to defeat India on October 24, they will get a 50 per cent increase in matches feels – roughly around PKR 170,000 as per the central contracts.

As per a report on Cricket Pakistan, a player’s current match fees stand at PKR 338,250, which means that winning against India will help them earn more than PKR 500,000.

“The same increment will apply if Pakistan beat number one ranked T20 side in the world, which is currently England,” it adds. If the team goes on to win the tournament, the players are understood to receive a 300 per cent increase in their respective match fees. The winners of the tournament will take home a $1.6 million cheque, as announced by the ICC before the start of the tournament.

Huge possibility of India extending their streak against Pakistan: Sourav Ganguly

Meanwhile, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly is confident that India will extend their spotless World Cup streak against Pakistan to 13-0.

“Yes, there is a huge possibility of 13-0 happening and India extending their unbeaten streak against Pakistan in this World Cup. All the players in this Indian team are genuine match-winners and fingers crossed, this team can finally end our 10 years wait of winning a world cup. Pakistan is also a good team. If one or two players click, then anything can happen. To win the mental battle is important. I feel it will be a great match!” Ganguly told ABP news.

“It’s not like that India will win every time. It is only natural that there will be gaps between World Cup wins. India won the World Cup in 2011, as well as in 2007. We played the final in 2003 and 2014. Even in 2017, we played Champions Trophy final but lost to Pakistan. Indian cricket is so strong that we will keep getting chances to play the final. Even this year we are hopeful. India is a big contender, but fingers crossed,” he added.
