Reports: Sourav Ganguly tests negative for COVID-19; no sign of fever after angioplasty

Former India cricketer and current BCCI President Sourav Ganguly suffered a mild cardiac arrest on Saturday. He complained of feeling uneasy while at his residence in Kolkata and was soon rushed to the Woodlands hospital. Ganguly was at his home gymnasium when he suffered health issues. The news left the cricketing fraternity in shock as they flooded social media with the messages for his speedy recovery.

The doctors had to perform Angioplasty on Sourav Ganguly and he is currently stable according to the reports. He reached the hospital at around 1 PM with discomfort in chest, heaviness of head, vomiting and a spell of dizziness while exercise at his home gym on Saturday at around 11 AM.

Meanwhile, soon after the angioplasty was done, Sourav Ganguly was tested for COVID-19 according to the process and his report came negative as per reports in Times Now. According to the detailed results of the report, the former Indian captain conscious, alert and communicating verbally which is a very good news for the fraternity.

Meanwhile, the 48-year-old messaged to his friend and the renowned journalist Boria Majumdar on Saturday night that he is doing well and is fine.

The news of Sourav Ganguly suffering from cardiac arrest certainly moved many from the cricketing fraternity and even the Indian cricketers tweeted for his speedy recovery. Sachin Tendulkar took to Twitter and posted one of his old pictures with Ganguly while wishing him for his speedy recovery. “Just got to know about your ailment Sourav. Hope each passing day brings you closer to a full and speedy recovery! Get well soon,” his tweet read.

Even Virat Kohli prayed for the BCCI President’s speedy recovery while Yuvraj Singh lauded Ganguly’s fighting spirit hoping for him to get well soon. “Dada your a fighter ! And you have always shown us the way . Get well soon,” Yuvraj’s tweet read.
