The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are missing their veteran cricketer Suresh Raina who pulled out of the whole season late last month. The team has lost two back to back matches after getting off to a good start and the fans are already missing their ‘Chinna Thala’. Raina himself, however, after returning to India, had said that he might go to the UAE during the tournament any time.

There were multiple reports stating that there were issues between him and the franchise. But the southpaw refuted all the rumours saying that all is well and he only returned to be with his young family. Now if the recent reports are to be believed, Suresh Raina may travel to the UAE soon and join the CSK camp for the rest of the season.

“He wants to join the CSK camp as he has sorted all issues at his end,” a person close to the cricketer told Insidesport recently. This comes as a great news for the fans of the three-time champions. But the CSK owner N Srinivasan had earlier cleared that the final decision to allow Raina back in the team will be of MS Dhoni and the team management.

“Look, please understand, that’s not my domain at all. We own a team, we own the franchise but we do not own players. I don’t own the players. I am not the cricket captain… We have the greatest captain of all times. So, why shall I even interfere in cricketing matters?” Srinivasan had earlier said.

Suresh Raina won’t be available soon after he returns

The BCCI official has also confirmed to Insidesport that if the team requests them, they will not have any problem in allowing him to comeback. However, the official also said that the left-hander will have to serve the required quarantine period mentioned in the SOPs.

Suresh Raina, if he returns, will have to serve six days quarantine and then return three negative tests for COVID-19 before being allowed into the bio-secure bubble. So it is clear that, he will only be available after 7-8 days once he reaches the UAE.

Meanwhile, CSK are having a six-day break now before their fourth match which is to be played on October 2 against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). However, it remains to be seen, when the 33-year-old actually returns to the UAE amidst all these reports.
