As soon as India registered another series win over Islanders here in Feroz Shah Kotla on Wednesday (December 6), reports have emerged that Indian Captain Virat Kohli is all set to tie the knot to his girlfriend and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma in Italy on December 11.

The belief of Virat Kohli and head coach Ravi Shastri has helped Indian Team reach the highest echelon. Virat Kohli has been able to set standards which are helping him and his team to stay on top. With nine consecutive Test series victory, India has joint Australia’s record of most wins without losing a series.

With the end of three Test matches, India and Sri Lanka are all set to play limited-overs series starting on Sunday. However, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have already rested Virat Kohli for limited overs series, which makes the news more legit.

Three-Day Ceremony in Italy

According to reports, Kohli and Anushka will wed in Italy in a three-day ceremony starting on December 11.

According to reports on Republic TV, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are getting married in Italy in the 2nd week of December. For the upcoming South Africa tour starting from 5th January, Kohli will be applying for wife’s visa for Anushka Sharma.

Kohli didn’t mention in Post-Match Presentation

In the post-match presentation, Virat Kohli was awarded Man of the Match, and Man of the Series award for his exceptional performance with the bat. He scored consecutive double hundreds, a hundred and a fifty-plus score.

The series has been nothing short of phenomenal for the 29-year-old lad. However, did not speak anything about his marriage and said his body needed rest after playing almost non-stop cricket for a year and a half.

He said, “My body is wanting it (rest) right now, to be very honest. It has been a long, long season. For the last 48 months, I have hardly taken rest. And I have played every game. The workload has been massive. I can’t play with low energy. My body has taken a toll in the last couple of years. Right now is the perfect time to rest before the big series against South Africa.”
