The Chennai Super Kings beat the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the finals of the IPL 2018 to lift the title for the third time in the history of the tournament. The cricket fraternity has been showering praises on the Men in Yellow for their stupendous show in the season. The whole of IPL fraternity rejoiced in CSK’s victory. The name of Richard Madley is not a new one for the fans of the IPL. He is the iconic voice and the face of the IPL auctions. He has been the chief auctioneer for the Indian Premier League ever since the inception of the tournament. Madley took to the micro blogging site Twitter to convey his good wishes for the victorious IPL side. In his tweet, Madley congratulated the Chennai Super Kings for having won the tournament.

Also, he had special congratulations reserved for the man of the finals, Shane Watson. It was Shane Watson’s unbeaten century that had guided Chennai Super Kings in the final run chase of the season. Madley also expressed his excitement for the next edition of the tournament.

Coming to the tournament, the season was the comeback season for the Super Kings. They were the most consistent side in the league stages and had finished second in the points table. They beat the Sunrisers in the Qualifier 1 to seal their spot in the finals. Later, in the big finals, they beat the same Sunrisers side yet again to clinch the title of IPL 2018. This was the third IPL title win for the Chennai Super Kings under the leadership of MS Dhoni.
