Team India is currently struggling in the ongoing second Test at Lord’s and obviously, have come under a lot of criticism for failing to deliver. Their batsmen had no idea about the seaming and swinging ball as they surrendered to 107 in the first innings only in the 36th over. The fans weren’t impressed with the show and lashed out at them for their poor performance. However, Rohit Sharma and Amitabh Bachchan urged them to have patience and support their team in such a crisis situation instead of bashing them.

There was a lot of anticipation about the Test series between India and England as the visitors are currently number 1 in the rankings and are tipped to win the series for the first time in the country since 2007. They are already 0-1 down and things are not looking good at all in the second Test either despite the major part of the two being washed out due to the rain.

Meanwhile, when the wickets were falling like nine pins on Friday, Rohit Sharma came up with a strong message for his team and voiced his support for them. He also reminded the fans that these are the same crop of players who have brought laurels to the country and they should be supported in this situation.

“Let’s not forget these are the players who got India to the number 1 ranking. How about being little supportive when the going gets tough. This is our team,” he tweeted.

Amitabh agrees to Hitman

The legendary Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan is an avid follower of the game and always supports the cricket team whenever they are on the field. He also agreed with Rohit and tried encouraging the team who are in dire straits in England. “I agree .. COME ONNN INDIA WE CAN DO IT .. !!” he wrote.

After being bowled out for a paltry score of 107 runs, the visitors will now have to bowl extremely well and restrict the hosts to the lowest possible score to make a comeback.
