India won the third One Day International against Sri Lanka and with that took an unassailable lead of 3-0 in the five match series. The handsome victory was led by the five wicket haul from Bumrah and then an unbeaten ton from Rohit Sharma. He was well supported by MS Dhoni who came in when the score was 61/4. Rohit was delighted to spend the time with the veteran in the middle.

Rohit Sharma and the former captain took India home with an excellent partnership of 157*.  Both of them played very cautiously as Dananjaya once again looked to take the game away from them. Rohit played beautifully for his century as MS Dhoni was calculative like last game and posted his half century.

The hit man looked extremely happy after finishing the game with the finisher himself. He took to the social media website Twitter to express his delight and termed Mahi as a special man. His tweet read, “Special night with the special man. Great way to win the series. #WeMarchOn #IceMan&Hitman.” The final two ODIs would be a dead rubber now and India have already hinted that they will make certain changes in order to test their bench strength.

India won their seventh consecutive bilateral series against Sri Lanka. This is also their 5th consecutive bilateral series victory which speaks a lot of the Indian juggernaut carrying on under the inspired leadership of Kohli. India are already on a march in Tests by winning 8 consecutive series’ and look set to equal the world record held by the Australian team of winning 9 in a row.

As far as limited-overs cricket is concerned, the Men in Blue will play 11 ODIs and 9 T20Is at home against Australia, Sri Lanka and New Zealand. The Lankans will also play a 3-match Test series in the return tour to India later this year.
