Rohit Sharma eager to take up the role of pace spearhead after Zaheer Khan’s retirement: A couple of days after India’s best left-arm pacer Zaheer Khan announced his retirement from international cricket after featuring in, 92 Tests and 200 ODIs for the Men in Blue; Indian opener and the best batsman in the universe Rohit Sharma was quoted saying that he is eager to take up the role of the pace spearhead of the team which lacks a genuine fast bowler who can take wickets.

Rohit in a conversation with HT (Humor Today) said, “I think I have all that it takes to be a good fast bowler. I can definitely bowl faster than Shahid Afridi and can take more wickets than Glenn McGrath.”

Talking further he said, “I have always had this dream, and since Zak bhai announced his retirement I believe it is the right time for me to take up the responsibility and ease down the pressure on Mahi bahi. He won’t need to worry about the pace bowling anymore.

“The world has seen my talent with the bat and knows how capable I am, it’s not just the talent but my hard work. But, I feel sad, I feel sad for all the fast bowlers around the world, imagine their condition when I start bowling and they will all look rookies. I have practiced a new ball in the nets, it swings both ways.

“I order my balls to swing out but if the batsman gets in a position I immediately swing it the other way.” He said.

In other news all the fast bowlers are on hunger strike purely out of disgust.
