Famed India opener Rohit Sharma is not with the team in the ongoing West Indies tour to give himself some rest after the hectic IPL and Champions Trophy schedule. And as his teammates slog it out in the Caribbean Islands, Rohit is enjoying a holiday at a seaside destination. The opener posted a picture of a cup of green tea and his goggles by the blue sea. Although he has not revealed the location in his post, he captioned it saying, “Green tea and blue waters”

He led Mumbai Indians to their third IPL trophy in the tenth edition of the IPL but wasn’t at his personal best with the bat. However, he bounced back to form in the Champions Trophy which Team India ended as the runners-up. The Mumbai batsman scored 304 runs in the tournament, out of 5 innings, with the highest being 123 not out. Which was only second to golden bat winner Shikhar Dhawan’s 338 runs from the same number of innings.

Another Mumbaikar Ajinkya Rahane was drafted as the opener for the West Indies tour in absence of Sharma, and he has made most of the opportunity so far. Meanwhile, the Indian team lost the fourth ODI after winning the second and third one, which makes the fifth and final one a must-win to seal the series, otherwise, it will be a 2-2 draw. The deciding ODI will be played on the 6th of July at Kingston, which will be followed by a solitary T20.

Rohit vouches for Indian skater

Earlier Rohit stood by Indian skater Nischay Luthra and appealed to his followers on social media to help the national champion with monetary assistance to ensure he has enough finances to train himself for the Winter Olympics later this year. His post on Twitter helped Nischay raise the required money.
