India got a great start to the Test series against South Africa. They have defeated Proteas by a margin of 203 runs. After a long gap of three years, India has hosted a Test series for the visitors in their home. Rohit Sharma was given the Man of the Match Award for playing giving two extraordinary knocks in the first Test match of their home season.

Rohit got tons in both the innings of the match, as this was the debut match for Nagpur-born batsman as an opener in the team. He brought his limited-overs opening skills into work and went for 13 sixes during the opening Test and broke the 23 years old record of Wasim Akram for hitting most sixes in a Test match.

It looked like 32-year-old top-order batsman was waiting for the chance and when he got the opportunity he utilized the opportunity to the fullest. Everybody praised the work done by openers in the first innings, and Ashwin for his 27th Test fifer in his career but in the end, Mohammed Shami came as an icing on the cake for Team India. Shami bowled a brilliant spell of 10.5-2-35-5 that didn’t offer a single chance to the South African batsmen to settle down in the second innings of the match on Day 5.

Along with some Biryani,” Hitman said during the press conference.

Mohammed Shami was the one who dismantled the middle-order of South Africa taking the crucial wickets of Temba Bavuma, Faf du Plessis and Quinton de Kock. 29-year-old was well supported by Ravindra Jadeja on the other end who missed his fifer by one wicket but registered brilliant bowling figures of 25-6-87-4.
