Rohit Sharma has certainly been the best performer for India in the recently concluded ODI series against Australia. The man from Mumbai did an exceptional job in laying the foundation of the innings, on which the likes of Hardik Pandya and Mahendra Singh Dhoni later thrived upon. But his job is not over yet, as Virat Kohli wants him to do exactly the same job in the upcoming T20I series, which gets underway on 7th October.

Before Rohit forces the series where he scored 296 runs to become the highest run-getter off his mind and shifts his focus onto the T2oIs, he went back home to unwind. And there’s no better way to do it than spending some quality time his wife. In the short little break which he got, Rohit is at home to spend some time with his better half Ritika Sajdeh, and the couple was joined by their pet.

The 30-year-old limited overs specialist uploaded a picture on Instagram, where the cute couple were seen cuddling their adorable dog. “Best way to spend my few days off ❤️?” the caption of the image read.

Indian cricket’s future is bright

Many youngsters like all-rounder Hardik Pandya and chinaman Kuldeep Yadav have offered spectacular performances, something which exceeded the expectations of the Indian fans. When Rohit was asked about this earlier, he said that this shows the bright future which is waiting for the Indian team.

“This team certainly has good pool of reserves. Whoever has got the opportunity, has come in and performed. It shows we have got guys who can take up the challenge and perform. It goes to show the future is bright,” said the man who has got 14 ODI tons under his name, as per reports in mid-day. On being asked about whether the bench of the current Indian team is the strongest ever, he commented: “I can’t comment on that as I have been with the Indian team only for the last 10 years.”
