It is not possible for a player to perform in all the matches. After all, they are human beings and human beings make mistakes. Players go through good days and bad days throughout their career. It is necessary to support the players at all times as it will motivate him to work on more on his game and remain in form for the major part of his career. When people start to mock a player for his poor performance, his confidence takes a hit and it becomes difficult for him to focus on his future games.

Rohit Sharma had a poor season with the Mumbai Indians. His team failed to make it to the playoffs and his individual performance was well below his standards. The dashing opener has come out in support of Liverpool’s goalkeeper Loris Karius, whose horrific mistakes against Real Madrid in the Champions League final cost them the title. Gareth Bale scored a brace as Real Madrid won a hat-trick of Champions League titles.

A day to forget

Real Madrid got a beautiful present from Liverpool’s goalkeeper as Karim Benzema stuck his leg out just when Karius was trying to start a quick attack. Much to the dismay of Liverpool fans, the ball went inside Liverpool’s net. The German shot-stopper was also at fault for Real’s third goal when he fumbled in a speculative long-range effort from Gareth Bale. Rohit took to Twitter to offer his support to the distraught goalkeeper.

He tweeted: “Huge admiration and respect for #LorisKarius and his brave gesture to the Liverpool fans after his error in yesterday’s game. Everyone makes mistakes but to accept it the way he did takes courage. This is what sport is and what it brings out 👏 ✊ #UCLfinal”

Karius apologized to the Liverpool fans after the final whistle. Tears were gushing down his face as the goalkeeper took the blame for Liverpool’s defeat and felt that he has let the fans down. The loss meant that Liverpool ended their season without any trophy in their kitty.
