South Africa and India have currently locked horns with each other for the second Test match in Johannesburg. After having won the toss, India elected to bat first wherein they were restricted to 202 in their first innings. KL Rahul who is captaining the side in the absence of Virat Kohli hit an impressive half-century to hold the fort of the side.

India’s top order was unable to make a larger impact on the game. However, the lower middle order took the mantle to chip in some quick runs for the team. Owing to their quick-fire cameos the team was able to reach the 200 mark.

Jasprit Bumrah grabbed the attention of the on-lookers by hitting some fabulous shots. In the 62nd over of India’s first innings, he decided to take on Kagiso Rabada and hit him all over the park. He hit as many as 2 fours and 1 six in the Proteas pacer’s over.

On the third ball of the over, the South African speedster bowled a short ball but Bumrah had already made his mind to hit it big. He played a hook shot on this ball of Rabada and sent it out of the park. This raised many eyebrows as the on0lookers were amazed by this cameo of him.

His wife Sanjana Ganesan who was in the stands seemed to have enjoyed the six as she was spotted clapping along with a few others. She looked happy and was all smiling when the camera caught her reaction on Bumrah’s maximum.

About the match, India’s batting order couldn’t put an impactful performance to the fore. After Mayank Agarwal departed with 26 runs to his account, India lost two quick wickets in Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara who walked back to the pavilion rather cheaply.

Duanne Olivier who picked up a total of three wickets sent both of them back in quick succession. South Africa’s bowling unit exuded great discipline to restrict India to 202. Marco Jansen picked up four wickets to display his prowess. It will be intriguing to see how the match unfolds further.
