Sabbir Rahman has become one of the integral members of the Bangladesh side in the recent years. The Bangladeshi team is scheduled to host a tri-series involving Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe as the other two teams this month. With the big challenge coming up, the middle-order batsman recently oozed confidence in a media interaction. Speaking on the various challenges that the team could face, Sabbir spoke at length about them all.

One of the bigger challenges that the team is likely to face in the series is the changing weather conditions at home. The climate in Bangladesh has been surprisingly too cold this season. With the temperatures dipping, the dew and the mist is expected to play a major role in the series.

All the matches are scheduled to be played in Dhaka. And, it is worth noting that the temperatures in Dhaka have been falling below 15 degrees this winter. Amidst this backdrop, Sabbir Rahman, as per the quotes in bdcrictime, remarked that the players have been practising under lights for quite some time. They are hoping for the results to be in their favor.

“We have been practicing under lights for last three – four days. If Almighty wishes, we will be able to absorb the situation. Actually cricket becomes far more competitive now a days. If we will be able to showcase our natural game, the result would be positive for us. We are focusing match by match,” quoted Sabbir Rahman.

Taking no opposition lightly

Talking about the camaraderie between the players of the three teams, Rahman remarked that they are all good friends off the field. However, when on field, they are fierce competitors only trying to win the matches for their respective sides. He is not taking any opposition lightly at the moment.

“We all know each other out of the field; some of them are close friends. But within the boundary line of cricket field, every opposition is a foe. We will try to exhibit good cricket so that no one can take us lightly,” he remarked.
