Sachin celebrates birthday at Make-A-Wish foundation

The cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar celebrated his 43^rd birthday in a unique way. Sachin visited the NGO Make A Wish Foundation and played cricket with the school children.

On the occasion of his birthday, Sachin visited the M.I.G. Cricket Club in Mumbai and spent quality time with the school children. The Make-a-wish foundation aims at granting the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses and medical conditions to enrich their human experience with hope, strength and joy. Sachin has been actively participating with the NGO.

Sachin Tendulkar is renowned for his philanthropy work. Tendulkar sponsors over 200 underprivileged children every year through Apnalaya, a Mumbai-based NGO associated with his mother-in-law, Annabel Mehta. He is also a part of ‘Education for All’ campaign which is run by the Mumbai Indians franchise owner Nita Ambani.

On the occasion of his birthday, wishes came from celebrities and his admirers from all around the world. The BCCI Secretary Anurag Thakur wrote on Twitter, “Happy birthday to one and only @sachin_rt . Wishing you lots of happiness and good health. #SRT43.”

Harbhajan Singh, who shares a great friendship with the maestro tweeted, “A very happy birthday to the most humble and forever young @sachin_rt .. Much love always.”

Yuvraj Singh also had his words of admiration and wrote on his Twitter handle, “Many happy returns of the day to god of cricket a humble man and a true gem ! The hero of our nation @sachin_rt God bless you master !”

“No words are enough to describe you @sachin_rt paaji, my wishes will also fall short to your greatness ??? #HappyBirthdaySachin” tweeted Virat Kohli.

A video was shared on Sachin’s Facebook page that showed him playing cricket with the children at the NGO.
