The greatest batsman ever produced by Cricket and our country, Sachin Tendulkar, has been quite active on social media in the recent days. Be it any sporting, political or social issue, Tendulkar has been vocal about every aspect of life through various platforms such as Twitter and Instagram.

SRT is, of course, renowned for going back decades and posting pictures of it these days. He recently posted a picture of him getting geared up for the New Zealand tour back in 1989-90.

There is a special hashtag from Sachin named ‘nostalgia’ which the Master uses to bring back and share his old memories. Just a few weeks ago, he uploaded a picture with former Indian bowler Salil Ankola, who later turned as an actor in due course.”I’ve had the honour of playing with so many talented cricketers over the years. Fast bowler turned actor, Salil Ankola is one of them. #Nostalgia,” captioned Sachin Tendulkar’s post.

Just about a week ago, he took out a picture from his childhood of him trying hard at studies, something he claimed he was never good at. “I never was a good scorer in this field. #Nostalgia #ThrowbackThursday”.

This time around, it was Sachin’s epic debut series against Pakistan at their own backyard in 1989, which the Master felt nostalgic about. In his movie, ‘Sachin: A Billion Dreams’, he talked in detail about all the events surrounding the memorable series.

Before taking the strike, Sachin Tendulkar was heavily mocked at by the deadly trio of Imran Khan, Wasim Akram, and Waqar Younis from Pakistan for his age (16 when he started his career). He was also hit on the nose by a steep ball from Younis. He came back and hit a boundary off the very next ball and that was when everyone knew, the 16-year old bloke was some one special.

Abdul Qadir was one of the most respected leg spinners at that point of time. Tendulkar smashed four consecutive sixes of his over, to shock the bowler and the world.
