Legendary Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar made an error while wishing commentator and cricket pundit Aakash Chopra on Twitter. Chopra, who represented India in 10 Tests, turned 41 yesterday. While many wished the expert on social media, Sachin Tendulkar made a tiny mistake while doing so on Twitter. Fans and followers of the Little Master were quick to point out that Tendulkar had erred.

Sachin Tendulkar used a picture of Rahul Dravid instead of Aakash Chopra to wish the latter on his birthday. Fans immediately replied to Sachin saying that he had incorrectly used a picture of Dravid. However, Aakash Chopra himself respectfully replied to the Master saying, “Thanks Paji…”

Many fans and cricketers took the opportunity to wish Aakash Chopra on his birthday. Some notable figures who sent their wishes to Aakash are Harbhajan Singh, VVS Laxman, RP Singh and Deep Dasgupta, who have all represented India, and are currently experts on platforms like Star Sports and ESPNCricinfo.

A prominent name in the commentary field

Aakash Chopra made his International debut in 2003 and managed to play 10 Tests under Sourav Ganguly. He partnered Virender Sehwag in the memorable 2003/04 Test series against Australia and since he managed to register just 1 fifty in 10 Tests, he never got back in the team again.

He also represented Kolkata Knight Riders in the inaugural edition of the India Premier League in 2008. He was also picked by the Rajasthan Royals but didn’t get to play any games for them. Despite failing to be a long-term prospect as an Indian player, Aakash Chopra managed to do a pretty good job as a broadcaster and commentator.

He is widely renowned for his Hindi commentary and when needed, he can do English commentary as well. Although a few fans think he is overly critical on occasions, that takes nothing away from what he has achieved in the last few years. He has also written a book and published it in 2009 “Beyond the Blues: A First-Class Season Like No Other”, which won a lot of compliments from cricket critics.
