Sachin Tendulkar hosted a premier of his movie Sachin: A Billion Dreams for the movie fraternity as well as his fellow cricketers the biggest of names from Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni to entire Indian cricket team and Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan to Shreya Ghoshal marked their presence at the event and all of them loved the movie.

But one big name missing was that of Indian head coach Anil Kumble. The former skipper is a dear friend of Tendulkar but missed out the premier since he was in London for a meeting of the technical committee of the International Cricket Council (ICC). He is the head of the committee and they met before the start of the Champions Trophy in England.

Kumble couldn’t make it

Kumble tweeted last night to inform Sachin with regret that he couldn’t attend the event. He wrote- “Hey @sachin_rt, I’m in London for the cricket committee so won’t make it for @SachinTheFilm premiere. (1/2)”

Jumbo sent across his wishes and also stated that his boys would have certainly enjoyed the movie.

“Best wishes! I am sure the team & everyone will enjoy it. (2/2)”

Sachin quoted Kumble’s tweet to tell him that he was missed and the evening would have been better had he been able to join the rest of the team. The master blaster also gave the coach his best wishes ahead of the start of the Champions Trophy where the Indian team will enter as defending champions having won the last edition of the tournament played on the same land.

Sachin wrote- “Missed you at the premiere, @anilkumble1074. It would have been great to have you with the team. Sending my best wishes to you for #CT17”
