Sachin Tendulkar, Narendra Modi big attractions in Yuvraj's wedding ceremony

Yuvraj Singh is all set to get married to British-Mauritian actress Hazel Keech who has been his girlfriend for a couple of years. Though the ceremony is expected to be a close-knit affair, former cricketers along with other eminent personalities are expected to be present for the auspicious occasion.

The two biggest names expected to be present for the ceremony are Sachin Tendulkar and Narendra Modi. While Sachin has been a close friend of Yuvraj and had also spent time with the southpaw when he was recuperating from cancer, Narendra Modi was personally invited by Yuvi. The stylish left-handed batsman met the Prime Minister in the parliament to invite him for the occasion.

Bit of drama arose since then as Yuvraj misspelt the Prime Minister’s name incorrectly writing as “Shri Narender Modi Jee.” Also, another shocking fact is that Yograj Singh, Yuvraj’s father won’t be attending the ceremony. Yograj and Shabnam (Yuvraj’s mother) divorced long way back and Yograj has two kids from his recent marriage. Though Yograj will attend the Mehendi on the request of his son he won’t be present in any other gathering related to Yuvraj’s marriage.

A close family friend told the New Indian Express that around 50 people are expected for the ceremony which includes and very close friends from the Indian cricket team. Shabnam’s religious guru Sant Ajit Singh Hansaliwale will bless the couple at the Dera Hansaliwale in Hansali just adjacent to their wedding place.

The wedding cards which were distributed among the guests contained sweet boxes in it. Two boxes, one white and the other a brown leather box designed by the ‘House of Design’ and the sweets were purchased from the ‘The Sweet Boutique’.

It is learned that the reception and the Mehendi ceremony will be held at the Lalit Hotel on November 29. On December 2, Yuvraj and Hazel will wed according to Hindu rituals. This ceremony is set to take place at a farm house in Goa again where limited guests have been invited for a lunch reception,” stated a source.
