Termed the God of cricket by his fans, Sachin Tendulkar has been the heartthrob of almost every Indian cricket fan for years now. And ever since the news of a film on his life broke out, the entire nation has been eagerly waiting to witness it. This is not just a life story of Sachin, but a story closely etched in the heart of every Indian.
The movie will not only provide an insight into Sachin’s cricketing journey but also to his personal life revealing different aspects which have never been heard or seen before. The much-awaited biopic of India’s most loved son is all set to hit the theatres on May 26, 2017.
While the common public will have to wait around for two more days before they could finally get a glimpse of the movie, Sachin has sent the invite of the special premier to few lucky individuals. The selected group of invitees include the likes of singer Shreya Ghosal, actor Randeep Hooda, actresses Aditi Rao Hydari and Saiyami Kher and fashion photographer Atul Kasbekar to name a few.
A few days ago, Tendulkar had also carried out a special screening for the Indian Armed Forces personnel and their families in New Delhi. All the invitations have been sent out in a colourful box which has a small limited edition bat with Sachin’s autograph and also a photo of the cricket legend.
The special invitees took to social networking site Twitter to express their happiness and also thanked Sachin for the kind gesture. In response the batting maestro not only retweeted their messages but also had a personalised note for everyone, expressing his joy on the upcoming biopic.
Sachin Tendulkar will be the third cricketer to release his biopic after Mohammad Azharuddin and India’s former skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The movie has been declared tax free in Kerala, Chhattisgarh and Orissa.
