Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar has praised the Indian skipper Virat Kohli for his superb innings in the ongoing ODI against New Zealand. Sachin has been active on social media nowadays post his retirement life and has kept his fans quite busy. Kohli played exceptionally well in the hot and humid conditions and scored a magnificent ton, his 31st, and surpassed Ricky Ponting in terms of most centuries in ODI format.
India was in a spot of bother thanks to the left-arm seamer Trent Boult who bowled beautifully with the new ball. But the captain led from the front and soaked in all the pressure despite wickets kept falling at the other end. Only Dinesh Karthik looked comfortable but couldn’t get going as he was bounced out by Tim Southee. Kohli though was dismissed in the final over of the innings on 121 off 125 deliveries.
Sachin Tendulkar was amazed by the knock Kohli played in the former’s home ground and couldn’t resist himself from posting a message on social media website Twitter. He termed his century as a superb effort by the master and congratulated him on his record ton. He posted, Superb effort to get to a ton in your 200th match, @imVkohli! A rather special innings.”

New Zealand cantering towards victory
However, the special ton from Virat is almost going in vain as the Kiwis are cantering home in the chase. Despite losing quick wickets, Ross Taylor and Tom Latham are playing beautifully and have already added 188 runs for the fourth wicket. New Zealand needs 13 off last 4 overs and would love to finish the game. India, on the other hand, wants a wicket or two if they are hoping to have any chance of coming back into the game. Taylor and Latham played out the spin twins of the hosts and only the miracle could save India from conceding the lead in the series.
