The Caribbean islands are known for producing some power hitting players for shorter versions of the game. Many players have become T20 specialists who ply their trade in various T20 leagues across the globe. The players from the Caribbean have impressed massively in T20 leagues as franchises look to have at least one West Indian in their lineup. Players like Dwayne Bravo, Chris Gayle and Kieron Pollard have become valuable assets for their respective franchises.
Pollard, popularly known as the “big man” has been associated with the Mumbai Indians since he made his debut back in 2010. His ability to stand and deliver with ease, street-smart bowling and amazing fielding has taken the men in blue over the line on several occasions. Sachin Tendulkar having represented the franchise in the past is associated with them as a mentor took to Twitter to wish Polly on his birthday.
Sachin tweeted:”Happy birthday, BIG Man. Have a great year ahead! @KieronPollard55.” The little master is always there present in the dugout and also gives the players tips from time to time and helps them improve their game.

Pollard out of form
Pollard has been an impact player for the Mumbai Indians over the seasons but finds himself on the bench at the moment. He has been in poor form in 2018 having failed to make any significant contribution with both bat and ball. The team provided him with an extended run but it did not work out and it is unlikely that Pollard will make it to the playing XI again.
MI is in a situation where they need to win all their remaining games to make it to the playoffs. The men in blue started the season poorly but of late they have discovered back the winning formula and need to carry it on for three more matches.
