Saeed Ajmal, former Pakistan off-spinner, gave a fitting reply to a fan who tried to mock his English on social media. The cricketer has announced his retirement from all forms of the game after the conclusion of the ongoing National T20 Cup, the domestic tournament of Pakistan. He is representing Faisalabad in the competition and would look to bow out on a high. However, the debate of not able to speak proper English has once again come up which happened during Champions Trophy when the fans made fun of the Men in Green after reaching the finals.

Ajmal served Pakistan cricket for almost seven years in which he won many games single-handedly for his country. But his action was deemed illegal when he was at the top of his career and was banned from bowling. Though he came back with a remodelled action, Ajmal could not weave his old magic which led to him not being considered for the national team. While he was playing, he scalped almost 450 wickets across formats and is known to be a fighter in his illustrious career.

Ajmal’s amazing reply

The official Facebook page of Saeed Ajmal posted an image edited by his fan and captioned it as, “Saeed Ajmal will continue to fight and be the guide for the future stars to come.” Soon the fan was ecstatic as the star cricketer had mentioned his name and thanked him in the comments section. But one of the fans also mocked him for such a fluent English and questioned if the account was real or fake. His comment was, “Is this official account? Itni aalaw English. kidding Saeed ajmal bro best of luck for future.

However, the 40-year-old took time out from his busy schedule and replied to that comment in an amazing manner. He mentioned that Pakistan has its own mother tongue and people are still highlighting a language brought up by a different culture. His reply read, “Well Yes, this is my official account. And do keep in mind that Pakistan has its own mother tongue and every province also has their own language. Yet we still highlight a language that was brought by a different continent and a different culture 🙂 And thanks for your wishes, do take this advice on a lighter note brother.”

Some of his fans came hard at the fellow and Ajmal found the need to add another comment and he wrote, “Guys please don’t mock him as he is a brother to all of us.
And this advise was for everyone who feels underconfident for not being able to speak English. Try to come out of the dogmas of the society, if it suites you great, if not than try your own way. Nothing puts a full stop to your life.”
