Salman Khan names his favorite Indian captain and explains the reason behind it

Popular Bollywood actor Salman Khan is known to be great friends with veteran Indian cricketer MS Dhoni. Salman has often praises Dhoni for the way he has redefined the Indian cricket. Their friendship stands strong and they both are often seen together in parties. Last year, Dhoni was spotted at Salman’s birthday bash. Dhoni had made it a point to visit Salman’s place after attending Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s reception on the same day.

Prior to that, when Salman Khan starrer Sultan had released, the actor had invited MS Dhoni for a special screening. Dhoni obliged and attended the screening with his wife, Sakshi Dhoni. Now, in another incident, Salman went on to admit his admiration for the former Indian captain.

Salman is currently hosting the second installment of the popular show, ‘Dus Ka Dum’. In a recent episode, one of the questions asked by Salman on the show was about the Indian captains. He asked the contestant to guess what percentage of the Indian population feel that MS Dhoni has been the best Indian captain.

“What percentage of Indians believe that in comparison to Kapil Dev, Sourav Ganguly, and Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni has been the best captain for the Indian cricket team so far?” Salman Khan asked the question.

Salman justifies his preference

Later, Salman Khan justified the reason why he reveres Dhoni. He remarked that even his father is a big MS Dhoni fan. They love Dhoni for the reason that he is a very cool and composed person. He does not believe in any wild celebration and maintains the dignity on the field. Salman looked in total awe of the wicketkeeper batsman.

“My father believes that MS Dhoni has been the best Indian captain so far. Cool mind, positive energy, no wild celebration. He maintains the dignity on the field. Cricket used to be a gentleman’s game, he has maintained it,” Salman remarked.
