Young Nepalese leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane is making some serious progress in the world of cricket. He recently became the first player from Nepal to play in the IPL. He got his opportunity to play for the Delhi Daredevils in the IPL 2018. Sandeep went on to play 3 matches and looked very impressive with his leggies. Another leggie who had a massive impact in the IPL this year was Rashid Khan.

The Afghanistani bowler finished the season in the second spot in the list of leading wicket takers. Rashid was phenomenal with the ball and was highly instrumental in guiding Sunrisers Hyderabad in to the finals. He is a breakthrough revolution in the world cricket. And it comes as no surprise that even Sandeep Lamichhane is looking up to him these days. Sandeep recently took out time to congratulate Rashid on his most recent achievement.

Rashid scalped his 50th T20I wicket whilst playing for his side against Bangladesh in Dehradun. Rashid scalped 3/13 in the match which the Afghanistan team won handsomely by 45 runs. Sandeep was quick to wish Rashid and congratulate him on the achievement. He also hopes that there would be many more milestones to come for the leggie.

Here is what Sandeep Lamichhane wrote:

“Congratulations @rashidkhan_19 brother on your 50 T20I wickets. Many more to come. Keep shining !” Sandeep Lamichhane wrote in his tweet for Rashid Khan.

Talking about the international assignments, Rashid Khan is currently engaged with the national side in Dehradun playing a 3-match T20I series. A bigger test awaits him as Afghanistan will play their historic first Test against India after the Bangladesh series.

On the other hand, Sandeep Lamichhane will be seen in a T20 tri-series involving MCC and Netherlands later this month. After the T20 assignment, he will play for Nepal against the Dutch side in Netherlands in a couple of ODI fixtures. The matches in Netherlands will be the first-ever ODI assignment for Nepal.
