Indian team is currently in England to play a five-match Test series against the hosts starting on August 4. Recently the players were seen playing a practice game against the Select County XI. With Virat Kohli ruled out of the three-day game in Durham, Rohit Sharma took over the reins as the team’s designated captain.

Apart from smashing the bowlers to all parts of the ground, Rohit Sharma is known to be very friendly and jolly among his family members, friends, and teammates. While not playing the game of cricket, Sharma is also one of the most active cricketers on social media. He has close to 20 million followers on Instagram and always keeps his fans hooked by posting pictures.

Hitman, as he is fondly called by his fans, this time posted a picture on his official Instagram account with Dinesh Karthik and Shardul Thakur. While DK will be seen as a commentator during the high-octane Test series between England and India, the latter is in the squad as an all-rounder. Sharma is known to be close friends with both the cricketers and loves to hang around with them whenever he gets some free time.

This time too he made sure to make the most of this opportunity and bonded with his buddies. He posted the picture with a cheeky caption as well, “Sandwiched between two clowns who love to talk”

India gear up to face England in the Test series

The countdown is nearing for the much-awaited Test series between England and India. These five matches will also be part of the new World Test Championship (WTC) cycle. Both the teams will look to make a resounding start and get as many points as possible during these five Test matches.

India had a fair list of injuries leading up to the series, but with Suryakumar Yadav and Prithvi Shaw added to the squad, the management will be pleased with the batting depth. Meanwhile, England have named a strong squad for the first two Tests and recalled promising young opener, Haseeb Hameed.
