Sanjay Manjrekar gets trolled for suggesting India to rest MS Dhoni for Ranchi ODI

Former India player turned commentator Sanjay Manjrekar must be the most despised person on Twitter, given that he gets trolled or roasted on the social media platform on daily basis for his tweets and opinions on Indian team and players. He has identified that controversy creates publicity and hence has gotten into a habit of making tweets that make Indian cricket team fans incensed. He has tweeted many such opinions recently, like going into the team with just 6 batsmen in ODIs in the World Cup, when other teams are vying for 7-8 batsmen in the team.

India plays Australia in Ranchi

Meanwhile, Team India is slated to take on Australia in the third ODI of the five-match series at Ranchi. Incidentally, Ranchi is the hometown of former India captain MS Dhoni and a pavilion has been named in his honor at the JSCA Stadium. India is 2-0 up in the series with two close wins in Hyderabad and in Nagpur.

MS Dhoni took India to the win along with Kedar Jadhav in the first match at Hyderabad with an unbeaten half-century. However, in Nagpur, Dhoni made his first golden duck in 9 years. This third ODI match between India and Australia in Ranchi might be the last time MS Dhoni plays for India in front of his home crowd.

Team India might also want to make sure that they give a fitting farewell to the most successful captain of the team, who has won a 50-over World Cup and a 20-over World Cup for the team including the ICC Champions Trophy in 2013.

Sanjay Manjrekar trolled for his insane suggestion

As Ranchi prepares to welcome its hometown hero MS Dhoni, Sanjay Manjrekar suggested that the Indian team would benefit if MS Dhoni is rested from the team and someone else is included in the team in his place.
