Sarah Taylor announced her retirement from the International cricket on Friday and put an end to her 13-year career for the England Women. Sarah is hailed as one of the best wicket-keepers and probably the best stumper in Women’s cricket. As a player, she witnessed England lifting two ODI World Cups – in 2009 and in 2017. She was also part of the inaugural Women’s T20 CWC edition in 2009 which England won at home. Taylor featured in 226 International matches and affected 227 dismissals alongside scoring 6533 runs with seven hundreds and 36 half-centuries.

All the major records and numbers from Sarah Taylor’s 13-year long career in International cricket:

1 – No player other than Sarah Taylor (214) has featured in as many as 200 Women’s International matches as a wicket-keeper. She played 88 T20Is and 118 ODIs as a keeper; which makes her the most capped keeper in both the formats. Taylor also kept wickets in 8 Test matches.

1 – Sarah is also the only wicket-keeper in Women’s cricket to have affected over 100 stumpings. She affected 51 each in ODIs and T20Is and a couple of them in the Test cricket.

Taylor scored 77 in the 2013 Chelmsford T20I against Australia which was the then highest Women’s T20I score. UAE’s Esha Rohit surpassed it earlier this year with her 82-run knock against China. Sarah was the first keeper to score a fifty in Women’s WT20 and recorded the highest score in the competition with her unbeaten 65 against Australia in the 2012 edition.
