England and Wales will host the upcoming ICC World Cup 2019 from May 30. One of the teams to get the most perfect practice before the mega ICC event will be Pakistan, as they are scheduled to play five ODIs and one T20I against England at their home, with additional four practice matches scheduled.

Captain Sarfaraz Ahmed is widely considered to be one of the best captains in international cricket at the moment given his amazing leadership. It was he who led them to the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 title in England when they had defeated India in the finals of the tournament. Sarfaraz will be travelling to England with the preliminary squad for the World Cup.

All matches treated as match against India

In the buildup for the tournament, everyone is talking about just one match, which will happen on June 16. Arch rivals Men in Blue will take on the Men in Green in one of the highest voltage and high profile matches in the tournament, given the backdrop of the political tension between the two countries in the aftermath of Pulwama incident.

“For us, all nine matches are important so we will take every match as a match against India,” Sarfaraz was quoted as saying. Pakistan has never won against India in the World Cup in their previous six ties, tough the skipper mentioned that they had defeated India by 180 runs in CT 2017 and therefore have the advantage over the two-time World champions.

However, this comment has come back to haunt Sarfaraz as he was trolled brutally for it on social media, with many fans calling him out for occasions where Pakistan lost repeatedly to India in Asia Cup 2018.

Here are some of the tweets criticizing Sarfaraz for his comments:
