They will they make their way to Rajkot the venue for the opening Test. England will not play any practice matches ahead of the start of the series since they recently played a two-Test series in Bangladesh which ended at levels 1-1 and has given them a pretty decent idea of how the wickets and conditions in the subcontinent are at this time of the year.
Having won the five-match ODI series against New Zealand 3-2 the Indian players are enjoying some time off the game with their families celebrating Diwali. They will reassemble and will reach Rajkot on November 5. Virat Kohli & Co. will start training and practice sessions from November 6.
Team India under Kohli and coach Anil Kumble would like to continue their dominance in the longer format at home given and the English team should better be prepared to tackle the Indian spin twin of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja given how they fared against Mehedi Hasan and Shakib Al Hasan in Bangladesh.
