The M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru witnessed an epic thriller when India and Bangladesh collided yesterday evening. India were playing a must-win game against their Asian rivals and they did not fail in keeping the hopes alive of making to the semi-finals after the beat Bangladesh narrowly by one run. The match went on to the last over of the game.

The game was a spectacular. India, defending a target of 147, picked an early wicket to get the first breakthrough. But, the Bangladeshis soon steadied themselves and went closer to dashing the hopes of the Indians.

Rising fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, in particular, had a bad in the field initially. His first spell was awful in and then dropped an easy catch of Tamim Iqbal early on in the innings. However, he certainly in spite of all that, the 23-year-old bounced back amazingly in his second spell and made up for all the blunder he made previously in the match. the most emphatic one was the 19th over of the game which saw Jasprit bowling his yorkers and restricting the Bangladeshis from running away with the match.

India needed just 17 off last 12 and Bumrah certainly pulled back things in India’s favor, giving away just six runs off the crucial 19th over.

Bumrah’s sloppy fielding caught the attention of Jonty Rhodes. Rhodes is the fielding coach of the Mumbai Indians, the franchise for which Bumrah plays. So, a the disappointed Mumbai Indians coach Jonty Rhodes  tweeted.

But, Rhodes also appreciated his great work in the 19th over and praised him for his efforts.
