Promising young Pakistan leg spinner Shadab Khan has made giant strides in world cricket. Ever since he made his international debut for Pakistan earlier this year against West Indies, he has grown in stature with every passing game. He was one of the key members of the national side’s instrumental run in the recently concluded ICC Champions Trophy.

Team Pakistan beat arch rivals India in the finals of the tournament to lift the coveted trophy. The tournament was marked by some spectacular performances from the young guns of the Pakistan cricket. While it was Fakhar Zaman with the bat, it surely was Shadab Khan in the spin bowling department. Recently, as per the social media update by renowned Pakistani journalist, Shadab was gifted a car by an Islamabad car dealer for his splendid performances in the tournament.

The pictures of Shadab with his new vehicle is doing the rounds on the social media now. Talking about the performances, he bowled very well with good economy throughout the tournament. Recently, when he was asked to pick his favorite wickets in the tournament, Shadab had cited that the wickets of Joe Root and Yuvraj Singh were his favorites in the tournament.

CT Performances

He had started the tournament on a rather low note against India. He had returned with figures of 1/52 in the match. In the game against South Africa, he was good with the ball and had bagged figures of 0/20 in the limited overs that he had got. In the semis against England, he took the key wicket of Joe Root to set the tone for Pakistan’s dominion in the game.

In the big finals against India, he bagged 2/60 which included the wicket of Yuvraj Singh. He set up the wicket very nicely. He bowled a wrong ‘un first up and then followed it up with a conventional leg spinner to trap the veteran southpaw lbw. He forced his skipper Sarfraz Ahmed to go for the review and the decision turned out to be in his favor.
