Shadab Khan has been a vital cog of the Pakistan cricket team for the last few years due to his three-dimensional abilities. The leg-spinner can restrict the batsmen with his accurate bowling alongside playing big shots in the crunch overs. If that’s not enough, the all-rounder is a livewire on the field and doesn’t like the ball going past him. A veteran of 97 international matches, Shadab has faced some big names in world cricket.

While the 22-year-old has shone on numerous occasions, he also had some poor days on the field. Hence, like every other player, the young cricketer has faced difficulties against certain batters and bowlers. On being asked about the same, Shadab picked Indian opener, Rohit Sharma, as the toughest batsman and New Zealand speedster Lockie Ferguson as the toughest bowler he ever faced.

Shadab had made the revelation during a Question/Answer session on Twitter. “Toughest bat is Rohit Sharma. Toughest bowler is Ferguson #AskShadab,” the star all-rounder tweeted to answer one of his fan’s queries. His answer certainly didn’t surprise many as Rohit and Ferguson have troubled many prominent opposition teams.

Rohit likes to take on the spinners, and hitting massive sixes has never been a problem for him. Moreover, the Indian opener has scored centuries in his last two matches against Pakistan, and Shadab featured in both those games. Hence, it’s pretty evident why the leg-spinner named Rohit Sharma as the most challenging batsman.

Coming to Ferguson, the right-arm speedster can set the speed gun on fire, and the bucket of variations in his arsenal makes him a force to reckon with. He also bowled some spectacular spells against the Men in Green.

In fact, his only five-wicket haul in ODIs came against Pakistan in 2018. Meanwhile, Shadab Khan, the captain of Islamabad United, is currently gearing up for the remaining season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2021.

The T20 tournament, which was scheduled to take place in February-March, was called off midway due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The remaining 20 matches are now scheduled to take place in UAE but the resumption of the tournament is still under dark clouds.
