One of the greatest actors this country has seen, Shah Rukh Khan has been a revelation in the film industry for a long time and has inspired many people to take acting as a profession. It was fitting that Virat Kohli‘s eventual life-partner Anushka Sharma made her debut as an actress alongside King Khan all those years ago in “Rab ne banadi jodi”.

When Anushka and Virat tied the knot in Italy back in December 2017, Shahrukh used their movie as a reference to wish the couple, saying “This is what you call Rab ne banadi jodi (A match made my god)”. The Bollywood King turned 53 on Friday and the entire fraternity was busy sending their birthday wishes to him.

Shah Rukh on the other hand, was busy promoting his next movie “Zero”, which will include Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif as the other leads. The Indian skipper’s wife was accompanying Shahrukh as the duo attended various press conferences and promotional events and the 53-year-old once again vindicated how good a sense of humour he has.

King Khan makes Anushka blush

In a media interaction, Shah Rukh was asked which cricketer would he like to see get out on Zero & then, promote his upcoming release. The legendary actor was quick to pounce and embarrass Anushka by pulling her into the conversation as reported by the Republic. “If I say anything against the Indian cricket team, I will get a snap from the girl sitting beside me (Anushka). She is Mrs. Cricketer,” said SRK. Ever since the couple got married, fans have been calling them as the “Power couple” of the country.

The whole place burst into laughter and although he didn’t speak much about Virat or the Indian side, Shahrukh has always had great respect for the Indian captain. Their new film Zero will be on the silver screen on 21st December and the movie is also special as it marks the final appearance of Late Sridevi in Indian films.
