Bollywood and global superstar Shah Rukh khan seems to be quite overwhelmed by the Peshawar Zalmi team that became winners of the Pakistan Super League’s 2nd edition on Sunday, March 5th. Khan, being the owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders has taken a step of friendship and congratulated Zalmi owner Javed Afridi for clinching the Pakistan Super League in its second edition.
The Bollywood actor has put forward a suggestion asking for the two teams to fight it out in a series which would be held at a neutral venue either being London or Dubai. If reports are to be believed Javed Afridi revealed that he got a call from the Badshah of Bollywood asking him to persuade the Pakistani government while Shahrukh promised to convince the Indian counterpart.
Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, Sanjay Kapoor, Gulshan Grover were the others along with Shahrukh Khan to congratulate the Peshawar Zalmi management on their win according to owner Javed Afridi.
Afridi also mentioned that the emotions that were expressed by Darren Sammy and Marlon Samuels before the PSL final were sure to bring tears to the eyes of Pakistani cricket fans. PSL was a dream come true for the fans as it marked the return of cricket to Pakistan after the 2009 attack on the Sri Lankan team bus.
Sammy and Samuels were honoured to represent Zalmi in the finals and were ready to give their all for the team, said Afridi. He confirmed that Afghan President Ghani invited him to visit Kabul following their win.
