The Kolkata Knight Riders have slowly come back to winning ways. After losing two consecutive games against the Mumbai Indians, the Knights have come back stronger. Registering victories against Kings XI Punjab and Rajasthan Royals, they now need one more victory to qualify for the playoffs.

It’s not going to be easy for them as their opponents are table toppers Sun Risers Hyderabad. However, today’s victory gave the team owner Shah Rukh Khan another reason to be elated. While he wasn’t present at the stadium, he expressed his happiness for the victory on Twitter.

The actor credited certain players for doing well in the game. Dinesh Karthik had earlier asked SRK to smile after the victory. King Khan returned the favour sharing a picture of Karthik smiling. He congratulated Kuldeep Yadav for his performances with the ball as well as in the interview.

Further, he had a special mention for Australian swashbuckling opener, Chris Lynn, too. Youngster Prashidh Krishna and Shivam Mavi were also appreciated for their bowling contributions. Of course, Sunil Narine also got lauded, last but not the least.

Here’s what Shah Rukh Khan tweeted after the game:-

And smiles to go…and keep from @DineshKarthik to me. Well done @imkuldeep18 with ball & interviews. @lynny50 who is getting sane! @prasidh43 @ShivamMavi23 & @SunilPNarine74 is Sunil!

Earlier, after winning the toss, the Kolkata Knight Riders elected to field first. While the first five overs didn’t go much according to their plan, they cashed in on the first wicket. The applied pressure on the new batsmen at the crease as the ploy worked leading to a collapse.

Chasing 142 at the Eden Gardens was never going to be a tough ask. However, Kolkata still went on to face some hiccups. It was the captain leading from the front as his brilliant innings of 41(30)* took KKR home with 2 overs to spare. This victory took them to the third position on the points table with 14 points.
