Former Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi has joined the long list of people who have congratulated Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma on their wedding. The congratulatory tweet posted by the former Pakistani cricketer is winning the internet. The suspense around the wedding of Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli and Bollywood diva Anushka Sharma had been immense.

Pretty much until the date of the wedding, the news reports about the wedding were not confirmed. It was a tweet from Filmfare that first confirmed the news of the wedding. Soon, a couple of pictures of the wedding started trending the internet. It did not take much time for the couple to make the official announcements.

Virat Kohli posted a tweet on his Twitter handle to confirm the news of the wedding and thanked the fans for their support. Soon, Anushka Sharma also posted an adorable candid picture with the fans and posted the same message that Virat Kohli had posted.

While the wedding ceremony was kept highly secretive, the reception is all set to be a big affair. The wedding reception invitation card is out and looks like a big event altogether. While there is still some time for the reception, the good wishes continue to pour in for the power couple. Shahid Afridi, in his tweet, wished the couple a very happy married life.

Here is the tweet that Shahid Afridi shared:

“Congratulations @imVkohli @AnushkaSharma on your wedding. May God Bless you two and give you happiness and a rewarding married life,” tweeted Shahid Afridi.

Mohammad Amir joins in

Meanwhile, Pakistani pacer Mohammad Amir joined the long list of well-wishers too. Amir commented on the tweet that Virat had shared. He congratulated him on the wedding in his response to the tweet. Interestingly, both Amir and Kohli have often showered praises for one another off the field. And hence, this little conversation looks adorable.

“Congrats bro god bless u,” tweeted the pacer Mohammad Amir.
