Shakib Al Hasan and Umme Ahmed Shishir are one of the most glamorous couples doing the rounds in Bangladesh cricket if, not the entire cricketing fraternity. The duo met in 2010 when Shakib was in England for his maiden county stint for Worcestershire and Shishir was there for her study purposes. The duo eventually entered wedlock on December 12, 2012.
On November 8, 2015, they gave birth to their first daughter and named her Alaina Hasan Abri. Shakib and Shishir have passed the test of times and yesterday, they celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary. The Bangladesh all-rounder didn’t let the opportunity go about making his loved one happy. On the auspicious occasion, he gifted a brand new BMW to Shishir.
The Narayanganj-born Shishir was delighted and she posted a couple of pictures of the present. Moreover, she captioned the post and wrote, Cherry on top anniversary gift from Shakib Al Hasan,”

Shakib having an excellent time
Apart from the memorable moments with his Shishir, Shakib has also had cheerful moments with his national team. He made an international comeback in The Tigers’ two-match Test series against Windies and was adjudged as the Player of the Tournament courtesy of his stupendous show with both bat and ball. Currently, he is playing the three-match ODI series against the Caribbean team.
The Jessore-born cricketer has been economical in his bowling spells, though he hasn’t picked up a whole lot of wickets. Nevertheless, the 31-year-old has shown tremendous form with the bat in hand and has churned out a couple of useful knocks of 30 and 65 against Rovman Powell and Co.
The deciding ODI is scheduled to be played on Friday, December 14 and the team would be looking up to Shakib for another stellar show. Previously, he suffered from a finger injury owing to which he has missed a significant amount of international cricket this year.
