Shakib Al Hasan planning to resume practice next month for his international comeback

Shakib Al Hasan has been one of the greatest all-rounders of all time. He is a top-notch player in every aspect of the game. Last year, Shakib got involved in an unwanted controversy when he failed to report that he was approached by a bookie during IPL 2019. He was handed a ban of two years which involved a one-year complete suspension from the game.

The Bangladesh all-rounder was a regular member of the team before he was banned. He always looked carrying the Bangladesh team on his shoulders whenever a crunch situation existed in the game. He also had a consistent hold over the number one position in ICC rankings in all formats of the game. Shakib became the first cricketer in history to be ranked the ‘No.1 all-rounder’ by the ICC  in all three formats of the game.

Shakib was in tremendous form in the 2019 World Cup where he showed his variety both in batting and bowling. He became the first cricketer ever to score 600 runs and take 10 wickets in a single  World Cup. His game kept mesmerizing the whole cricket fraternity during the tournament.

Shakib Al Hasan set to train at BKSP from September

Shakib’s mentor Nazmul Abedeen revealed that the southpaw will be training at the BKSP facility in Dhaka with the availability of coaches and trainers including him. “Shakib will come to the BKSP next month where he will have coaches and trainers available,” ESPNcricinfo quoted Shakib’s mentor as saying.

He claimed that they all are working and can also work with Shakib in tandem. “We are functional as the coaches are all residing within the campus, so we can work with him well. Shakib will have everything at his disposal,” he added.

Shakib was banned in October last year after he accepted the three charges of breaching the ICC anti-corruption code. After his Bangladesh’s Test and T20I captaincy were handed over to Mominul Haque and Mahmudullah respectively. Though the Bangladesh team felt his absence especially in the two-match Test series between Bangladesh and India in November 2019.

His ban ends on 29th October this year which will be making him eager to get into the training mode as soon as possible.
