According to the information provided by Nazmul Ahsan, the event will be held at the University field and people from all departments will participate in the mega festival. Shakib Al Hasan being a renowned cricketer of the country is expected to share his views and experiences on the cricket field with the crowd.

The whole of the city of Rangpur including the students of the University are eagerly waiting for the arrival of Shakib Al Hasan, the leading all rounder in the world in all three formats of the game. Assistant Professor Dr. Shafiq Ashraf stated that very strong security is being arranged for the arrival of the cricketer surrounding the University and the adjacent areas.

Meanwhile, Shakib Al Hasan’s request for a break from Test cricket has been approved by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). This means the prolific all-rounder will miss the upcoming Test series against South Africa. However, the left handed genius will return against the Proteas in the limited over formats.

Shakib’s monumental all-round display was the anchor point in Bangladesh’s victory over Australia in the first Test of the recently concluded Test series. Shakib picked up 5 wickets in each inning to register a 10 wicket haul in Dhaka which scripted a historic win for the Tigers. Shakib was also on point with his batting as he played a stellar knock of 84 in the first innings which helped Bangladesh put up a respectable total. Riding on the brilliance of Shakib, Bangladesh earned their first ever Test victory against Australia.
