The stern situation amid the coronavirus outbreak has put all the sporting events at a halt. Be it football or cricket, fans are left with no sporting action to witness whatsoever. Amid these trying times, many cricketers have either using Twitter on Instagram to stay connected with their fans.

Many cricketers have resorted to Twitter Question & Answer session or Instagram live to interact with fans in their quarantine period. Meanwhile, Shane Warne also joined the trend and took Instagram live to name his all-time Indian Premier League (IPL) XI.

The former Australian great, who led Rajasthan Royals to the historic first-ever title in 2008, dished out his IPL XI, comprising players only from the host nation India. Warne started off his side my naming two of India’s most explosive openers– Virender Sehwag and Rohit Sharma. The duo certainly has the ability to decimate any world-class bowling attack.

Coming on to No.3 spot, it was not a tough choice for Warne as he went with current Indian skipper Virat Kohli. The prolific run-machine for India has been a rock-solid force of Royal Challengers Bangalore. Following Kohli, Warne picked Yuvraj Singh to bat at No.4 position.

Meanwhile, Warne picked all-rounder Yusuf Pathan at No.5 position and also heaped praise on his former Rajasthan Royals teammate. “Yusuf scored one of the best hundreds against Mumbai Indians and he also played a great knock in the IPL final in 2008,” said Warne in his Instagram live video.

To finish the batting lineup, Warne picked former India skipper MS Dhoni along with Ravindra Jadeja and Harbhajan Singh. The Jadeja-Harbhajan duo also has the ability to contribute with the bat at crucial moments.

The surprising inclusion in Warne’s all-time IPL XI was of Siddharth Trivedi and Munaf Patel. Both the bowlers played with Warne during his stint with Rajasthan Royals where he led the franchise to the title. To finish things off, Warne slotted Indian veteran Zaheer Khan to the side.
