After a few weeks of terrible badgering in terms of value, Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif have seen their international careers dragged through the mud in what has been a terrible turn of events in recent times. However, despite all of this, the suspensions as well as the chargesheets, both players have stated and in fact, reinforced their innocence when presented to the media.

While the previous weeks have also seen the likes of Mohammad Irfan also dragged into the scandal, the fact of the matter is that Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif have been quite amazing in their defense given the fact that the charges they are brought up on are predominantly on not reporting the charges as opposed to anything else. Of course, it is a shame, but the fact is that this shameful incident could have severe reparations in the long term.

Sharjeel Khan eventually went on to speak out about the manner in which he had been treated by stating that he had done nothing wrong and that things would become much more clearer very soon. “We have done nothing wrong; things will get clear very soon,” said Sharjeel Khan as reported by Samaa TV.

He also went on to add that he thought that the person fixing the game was a fan, with whom a meeting had been set on the insistence of the former Pakistan opener Nasir Jamshed.

“Nasir insisted that we meet with this guy and said he was a fan. We got up and left the moment we realised what he wanted. We have done nothing wrong,” said Sharjeel. The charge sheet response is coming up shortly.
