On 2nd April 2018, exactly seven years after India won the World Cup 2011 under MS Dhoni, the wicket-keeper batsman was conferred with the Padma Bhushan. This is the third-highest civilian honour in India and it was a ‘goosebumps moment’ for the fans to watch MS Dhoni march towards the President in his Army uniform to receive the honour. Windies pacer Sheldon Cottrell, who stumbled upon this video recently, was all praise for the Indian cricketer and his wife Sakshi.

Sakshi Dhoni was present at the Rashtrapati Bhawan to watch her husband march his way to glory. With moist eyes and great proudness, she watched the former skipper receive the honour. Cottrell shared this video and was all praise for this wife and husband moment.

In his tweet, he wrote that he shared the video with his friends and family because they knew how he felt about the honour. Furthermore, talking about the husband-wife moment, he wrote that it shows inspirational love for the country and partner. He asked followers to enjoy the video in the same way that he did.

“I shared this video with friends and family because they know how I feel about honour but the moment between wife and husband truly shows an inspirational kind of love for country and partner. Please enjoy as I did,” wrote Sheldon Cottrell in his tweet.

MS Dhoni currently serving the Indian army

MS Dhoni, yet again, has shown his love for the Indian army with his recent actions. Post the World Cup 2019, he decided to put a full stop on his retirement speculations. Furthermore, he took a finite break from cricket due to a prior commitment to serve in the Indian army. From 31st July to 15th August, he will spend time with the troops and gain experience of working in the army.

As a result, Dhoni will not join the team in the West Indies for the three-match T20I and ODI series which will later be followed by the Tests. The 38-year-old is expected to be around till the end of T20 World Cup 2020 and groom the other keepers in the interim.
