India cricketer Shikhar Dhawan is currently gearing up for the upcoming Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy starting from January 10. He has been named the captain of the 20-member squad which was announced recently and will be keen on performing well. Meanwhile, the southpaw is trending for some other reason and that is his collection of souvenirs at his home.

Shikhar Dhawan, interestingly, has one of the pairs of MS Dhoni‘s gloves at his home. The duo played together for so many years together for India and share a special camaraderie. Many cricketers admire Dhoni for what he has done for Indian cricket and Dhawan is one of them.

Coming back to his collection, apart from Dhoni’s gloves, Shikhar Dhawan also has bats of the cricketers like Chris Gayle, David Warner, Virat Kohli and Virender Sehwag at his home and they have been placed at a special place. He flaunted his collection in a video on Instagram Dhawan posted while playing with his pet dogs on Wednesday.

While the cricketer was dancing around with them, the background of the video showed the awards Shikhar Dhawan has won on the field along with his excellent collection.

Here’s the video:

Shikhar Dhawan had a decent Australia tour

As far as his on-field heroics are concerned, Shikhar Dhawan was a part of India’s tour to Australia for the limited-overs leg. The team led by Virat Kohli lost the ODI series but grabbed the three-match T20I rubber in style. The left-handed fared decently in all the six matches scoring 81 runs in three T20Is at a strike-rate of 128.57 while in the ODIs, he mustered 120 runs in as many outings with an average of 40.

Ahead of India’s home season, Shikhar Dhawan will now be hoping to get into the groove after a decent amount of rest. Team India is scheduled to face England after coming back from Australia and the southpaw will be looking at the SMAT20 to get into form.
