Shikhar Dhawan spotted riding auto-rickshaw on Sri Lankan streets

Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan is having a great time on the field. He was recently named as the Player of the Series in the 3-match Test series against Sri Lanka. Now, the visiting Indian side has put its sight on the limited overs format. Their supremacy went unchallenged in the Tests and the men in blue would want to replicate their form in shorter formats too. Needless to say, Shikhar Dhawan is expected to play a key role in the Indian lineup.

It will be interesting to see the opening combination that the team management ultimately settles with during the matches. KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma, and Dhawan are all in the side. Also, there is Ajinkya Rahane, who was named as the Player of the Series in the ODI series against West Indies recently.

The selection conundrums will trouble India, but in a healthy way for sure. Dhawan has his case served though. He had emerged as the leading run getter in the Champions Trophy this year and is going through a purple patch at the moment. Well, what happens on the field remains to be seen. For now, there is one thing that is totally certain. Shikhar Dhawan, along with the other Indian players, are having a great time in Sri Lanka.

Off the field, Dhawan is trying out new things. The players have been very active on the social media during this tour. They have constantly updated posts on the social media. Among the latest one is a video post by Shikhar in which he is seen driving an auto rickshaw on the streets of Sri Lanka. He is accompanied by his team mate and close friend Hardik Pandya.

Pandya is the one who is recording the video as Dhawan turned into the auto rickshaw driver. In the background, a Punjabi song keeps both the players pepped up. The video footage also sees Hardik for a brief while wherein he winks to indicate that he is having fun too. Shikhar Dhawan posted the video on Instagram along with the caption, “Daddy D di Auto Rickshaw Ride @hardikpandya93”.
