Shoaib Akhtar suggests "Run Machine" Kohli should eye for 120 international hundreds

The Rawalpindi Express Shoaib Akhtar during his prime days had some unforgettable banters with the Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar. This duel never went one way as Akhtar had his highs and so did Tendulkar. One can easily concede that his love affair with the Indian batsmen can never end despite hanging his boots.

This time, he was in awe of the Indian skipper Virat Kohli, who registered his third century on the trot in the ODI series against Windies. After registering scores of 140 and 157*, the “Run Machine” Virat Kohli attained another majestic feat as he became the first Indian cricketer to notch a hat-trick of centuries in ODIs.

Akhtar hailed the run machine Kohli and complimented the 29-year-old for his incredible consistency. He also suggested that the Delhi batsman should target 120 international centuries after bringing up his 62nd in Pune. Sachin Tendulkar, Kohli’s childhood hero, currently leads that list with 100 International tons.

“Guwahati. Visakhapatnam. Pune. Virat Kohli is something else man with three ODI hundreds in a row, the first India batsman to achieve that. What a great run machine he is! Keep it up cross 120 hundred mark as I set up for you,” Akhtar said via his official Twitter handle.

India aim to get back up in a trice

But good teams often get out of such predicaments and get back on their feet in a trice, something which the fans would be expecting Kohli’s troops to do in the fourth ODI which will take place in Mumbai on 29th October (Monday).

The side’s middle order is under intense scrutiny after the allegations of heavy dependence on the top three to get the runs is turning out to be true. The likes of Ambati Rayudu, MS Dhoni and Rishabh Pant have a point to prove and with Kedar Jadhav coming into the squad, they would be hoping for a better result.
