Veteran Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik has been named the captain of the PSL team Multan Sultans. The PSL draft is taking place today at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore. Lahore Qalandars got the privilege of calling the first draft pick, as they finished at the bottom place last season. Therefore, in the same manner, the side that finished second last will get to pick the second option.

A total of 501 players have been named in the draft. Out of which 308 are foreign cricketers. Imran Tahir, Mitchell Johnson, Mustafizur Rahim and Chris Lynn are some of the big names. Multan Sultan had picked nine players from the poll of cricketers released by other franchises.
