Shortest match in ODI: In terms of Overs and Balls: ODI cricket has seen a revolutionary change with the turn of the decade. The top teams have now become more dominant and don’t give even a little chance to their weaker opponents to give a fight. Making the point more prominent all these matches have been played in the 2000’s and except Sri Lanka, no major team is a part of the list.

10. Afghanistan (111 balls/18.3 overs) v Scotland in 2015
Chasing 213 against Scotland in the Dubai triangular series, Afghanistan were shot down for 63. Josh Davey scalped 6 wickets to help Scotland win the one-sided encounter and earn the man of the match award. Usman Ghani top scored for Afghanistan with 33 balls 25. Afghanistan batted for 18.3 overs. Scotland won the game by 150 runs and picked 2 crucial points.

9. Afghanistan (111 balls/18.3 overs) v Canada in 2011
Afghanistan which is new in the cricketing world makes an entry here but to add to their reputation they are still the 8th lowest surviving team. They managed to score 150 runs, batted 18.3 overs, making 111 balls. It was the first innings of the match, Canada were the opponent that bowled out Afghanistan in this match. Toronto was the ground that hosted this match; the match was played on 9th August 2011.
8. Zimbabwe (108 balls/18 overs) v Sri Lanka in 2004
The second, Second time appears after Namibia; Zimbabwe make their second appearance. They managed to score 35 runs, could bat only 18 overs, making mere 108 balls. Canada finally makes it to one of our lists but on the sadder part, they are one of the teams which survived the least number of overs in ODI’s. They scored 92 runs, could bat only 14.5 overs, making mere 89 balls. It was the second innings of the match, Kenya were the opponent that cleaned up Canada. Namibia’s name crops up for the first time in any of our top 10’s they are the team which survived the least number of overs in ODI’s. They scored 45 runs, could bat only 14.0 overs, making only 84 balls. It was the second innings of the match, Australia were the opponent that cleaned up Namibia. Potchefstroom was the ground that hosted this match, the match was played on 23rd February 2003.
