Skipper David Warner, all-rounder Henriques rise the Sunrisers over CSK: Chennai Super Kings tasted their second loss on the trot as they lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad by 22 runs at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. With this win, Sunrisers move to the fifth position with 8 points from as many matches while Chennai Super Kings remain on the top of the table with 12 points courtesy Net Run Rate and a game in hand when compared to Rajasthan Royals.

Put into bat, David Warner got his side off to a flier as started smashing the Super Kings’ bowlers right from the word go as Sunrisers scored 72 in the first 6 overs. Warner reached his fifty off just 20 balls and failed to make it big as he was dismissed by Suresh Raina for a 28 ball 61. Moises Henriques was sent in as a pinch hitter and was dismissed for a 9 ball 19 courtesy a stumping off Pawan Negi. Shikhar Dhawan too was sent to the pavilion for 37. Eoin Morgan and Naman Ojha’s big hitting in the end took their side to 192-7 at the end of 20 overs. Dwayne Bravo was the pick of the bowlers with a spell of 3-25 in his four overs.

Chasing 193, Bhuvneshwar Kumar got the hosts to a great start as he sent back the dangerous Brendon McCullum for 12. Suresh Raina looked in good touch as he scored some splendid shots in his 15 ball 23 before Henriques had him caught by Morgan. The batsmen got off to a good start but failed to convert them and some quality bowling from the Sunrisers bowlers restricted Chennai to 170-6 in 20 overs. Bhuvneshwar and Henriques took two wickets apiece.
